HALO House
HALO House is a ongoing service project sponsored by HALO Society. HALO House was created in response to the needs to match foster children with necessity items needed to successfully transition to a new, safe environment.
Who are the children we serve?
We serve foster children in Tarrant County who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect.
These foster children face many challenges while going through the court process to determine if parental rights can be restored. Many times, a relative or guardian is willing to take these children, offering them a safe and loving home. Some of these children are able to return to their parents, after a year long process. If the parents have met all the legal requirements and can show stability, they can earn the right to bring their children back into their new, safe home.
What needs are we able to meet?
Sometimes the process of a child moving into a safe home is hindered because of the lack of basic necessities in the new environment. The guardians or parents may not have bedding or other common household items needed to care for a child.
HALO House receives donations and distributes these basic necessities to speed the foster child’s transition to a new, safe home.
Why do we do it?
No child ever asked to be abused or abandoned. Every child deserves dignity, pride, and no less than others. Along with being loved and cared for, these children also need basic items to improve their quality of life.
HALO House was established to meet those basic needs for the abused and neglected children of Tarrant County. Through volunteerism, donations, and fundraising efforts, you can help us provide for the needs of the children.
