HALO Society Debut-Uncommon Angles
May 2007
Co-founders, Bric & Bridget Shelton, invited guests to Uncommon Angles located in the historic Montgomery Plaza to learn more about a brand new organization, HALO Society. HALO Society is a business networking & auxiliary group that supports CASA of Tarrant County by providing both financial and volunteer support. Guests enjoyed appetizers prepared by Chef Allen Lutes of Home Appetit & wine provided by WineStyles in Montgomery Plaza.
Kay Granger Social & Membership Drive

Over 100 guests arrived at the downtown Fort Worth home of Kay Granger for a party on the patio hosted by HALO Society. Guests enjoyed Tex-Mex appetizers, margaritas, & the musical stylings of Marcos Hernandez. A host of people became members including the Allanachs who became our first ever lifetime HALO Society members. Special thanks to Congresswoman Kay Granger for graciously opening her lovely home for HALO Society.
HALO Society Art Soiree

Milan Gallery generously donated use of their brand new downtown Fort Worth location for HALO Society's Art Soiree. Guests enjoyed wine, cheese, & fresh fruit along with the piano music of Vincent Chacko. The beautiful art, delightful company, & ambience of the gallery lent itself to a lovely evening for all.
HALO House "Fill the House" & Ribbon Cutting

HALO House is a service project of HALO Society that was created in response to the needs for CASA Advocates and Casework Supervisors. It houses emergency relief donations needed to enable a foster child to successfully transistion to their new environment, or return to a safe parent. HALO House stores and distributes donated items such as bedding, gift cards, car seats, strollers, and other gently used or new items. HALO Society members, CASA Advocates, & friends showed up on a cold November evening to fill the storage facilty with multiple donations.
National Adoption Day-Members Only Mixer

HALO Society members shadowed CASA volunteers at the 2007 National Adoption Day to learn more about how we can serve this wonderful service project in 2008. Adoptions take place all morning and children and families are blessed with their first family photo, personlized jewelry, teddy bears, & balloons to make their special day even more special. After National Adoption Day activities at the Tarrant County Courthouse, members met for a mixer at Cantina Laredo. Mexican appetizers were donated by Cantina Laredo.
